1. The short version

WordEditor is built to be private by default. Your documents are opened, edited and saved entirely on your device. We do not upload, store, or have any access to the contents of the files you open. There is no account and no cloud sync.

2. Information we do not collect

• The contents of your documents — they never leave your device.
• Your name, email, or any account — the app has no sign-up.
• Your location, contacts, photos (beyond a file you explicitly choose to open).

3. Information that may be processed

To run the business and improve the app, limited data may be processed by us or by the third-party services listed in Section 4:

• Purchases & subscriptions. Handled by Apple (and, in future, Google). We receive non-identifying transaction status (e.g. trial/active/expired) to unlock Pro features. We never see your card details.
• Diagnostics & usage analytics. Aggregated, app-level events (e.g. "feature used", "crash") that help us fix bugs and prioritise features. No document content.
• Marketing attribution & device identifiers. If you arrive via an ad, a mobile measurement partner may process an advertising identifier to attribute the install. You can opt out via your device's tracking settings (App Tracking Transparency / Ad Settings).

4. Third-party services

We rely on the following providers, each with its own privacy policy:

• Apple App Store / StoreKit — distribution & payments.

wordeditor.app is a static marketing site hosted on Cloudflare. It does not use advertising cookies. Aggregate, anonymous visit metrics may be collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR/EEA, UK, CCPA/California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. Because the app is account-free, we typically hold no personal data tied to you; for any request, contact us.

Document data is retained only on your device, under your control. Any business data described above is kept only as long as needed for the purposes stated and protected with reasonable technical measures.
